If you are getting outdated or unexpected pick-up instructions on the 'Ready for Pickup' notification email, it's likely that Pickup instructions have been added directly to your Shopify Shipping settings.
To confirm if this is the case, please follow the steps below:
1- Navigate to your Shopify admin and open Settings.
2- Choose the Shipping and Delivery option.
3- Scroll down to the 'Local Pickup' section.
4- Access your pickup location from there.
5- Check the Pickup instructions in the text field.
Our OrderlyEmails' Ready for Pickup template introduction section has conditional content by default. It specifies that if you have pickup instructions directly in your Shopify Shipping settings, they will overwrite the ones set up in our app.
In summary, the introduction section in the app editor serves as a fallback whenever there are no specific pickup instructions in the Shopify admin settings. Therefore, to ensure your customers always receive your latest instructions, you may either:
Remove the instructions on your Shopify shipping settings to ensure the configured instructions in our app template are displayed.
Make sure to update your Pickup instructions directly in your Shopify shipping settings (Super helpful if you have different Pickup locations and different instructions for each).
