Shopify are in the process of updating how apps and other added features can be added to your Checkout and Customer pages of your store. They call this functionality "Checkout Extensibility". Digital Downloads Pro is compatible with these new feature.

You can automatically display a "View digital products" button to customers after they complete the checkout (Thank you page), or on the page which customers can access later for their order (Order status page). The button will only display if the order contains digital products.

To add the Digital Downloads Pro app block to these pages, when your store uses the new "Checkout Extensibility" features, follow the below one-time instructions:

1- Go to the Settings page in your Shopify Admin

2- Click on the Checkout menu item

3- Double check that you have the new "Checkout Extensibility" features enabled

4- Click the Customize to open the extensibility editor

1- Click on the page switcher at the top of the editor

2- Click on Thank you in the dropdown menu to start editing the Thank you page of your checkout.

3- Click on Add app block

4- Select Digital Downloads Pro to add the section to the page

5- You will see a preview of the new section on the page

6- Click the Save button

Once saved, anytime an order contains digital products the section will automatically display on the Thank you page of checkout.

1- Click on the page switcher at the top of the editor

2- Click on Order status in the dropdown menu to start editing the Order status page.

3- Click on Add app block

4- Select Digital Downloads Pro to add the section to the page

5- You will see a preview of the new section on the page

6- Click the Save button

Once saved, anytime an order contains digital products the app block will automatically display on the Order status page.

If you uninstall Digital Downloads Pro, the added app block will be removed automatically and does not require any manual action.

If you'd like to remove the section without uninstalling the app, click on the app block in the editor and click Remove app block

You can change the placement of the Digital Products section by dragging the section in the list of sections in the editor, like any other block in your theme:
