Managing Sections in the app Editor

How to effectively structure email templates by adding, moving, and deleting sections.

One of the key features of the OrderlyEmails app is the ability to manage sections in the email editor. This allows you to add, remove, and move sections within your email template to create a unique and engaging design. In this article, we will explain how to manage sections in the app editor.

Adding Sections:

To add a new section to your email template, simply follow these steps:

  1. Open the OrderlyEmails app and go to the email template you want to edit.

  2. On the “Email Sections” tab, select the section you want to add from the available options.

  3. Click on the “Add” button next to the section to add it to your email template.

  4. You can repeat this process to add as many sections as you need in your email template.

Removing Sections:

Here is how you can remove a section from your email template:

  1. Open the OrderlyEmails app and navigate to the email template you want to edit.

  2. Click on the “Email Sections” tab located in the top menu bar.

  3. Select the section you want to remove and click on the “Remove section” icon that appears at the bottom.

  4. Confirm that you want to remove the section by clicking on the “Remove section” button.

Moving Sections:

To move a section within your email template, follow these steps:

  1. Open the OrderlyEmails app and navigate to the email template you want to edit.

  2. On the “Email Sections” tab located in the top menu bar, drag the section to the new location using the drag-and-drop icon.

  3. You can repeat this process to move sections around your email template until you achieve the desired layout.

💡Note: To ensure your template is up-to-date, it is essential to re-export the code and upload it to your Shopify admin > Settings > Notifications.

With these tips, you should now be able to easily manage sections in your email templates using the OrderlyEmails editor.
