OrderlyPrint offers great options to help you handle partially fulfilled orders so you have better control and avoid staff errors. Below we explain how the template docs may help you achieve that.

Packing Slip

It is possible to have the Packing Slips show the Total quantity ordered, Current Shipment, and remaining quantities.

However, you need to fulfill orders before printing the documents because the current shipment column takes the number of items in the latest fulfillment of the order.

If there's no previous fulfillment, there is no way to know how many items you are including in the current shipment. Therefore, the Current Shipment column will display 0.

To display this information, you just need to do the following:

  1. Login to OrderlyPrint (Shopify admin -> Apps)

  2. Go to the Settings -> Document design page

  3. Go into the "Options and formats" section of the editor

  4. Under the "PACKING SLIP SETTINGS" section, enable the checkmark "Show ordered, remaining and current quantities".

Picking lists

The Picking list also allows you to manage partial fulfillment easily. The app has an option for it to display only the Fulfillable quantity, and so, it will not display any items that have been fulfilled already.

To display this information, you need to:

  1. Login to OrderlyPrint (Shopify admin -> Apps)

  2. Go to the Settings -> Document design page

  3. Go into the "Options and formats" section of the editor

  4. Under the "PICKING LIST SETTINGS" section, enable the checkmark for "Show only unfulfilled orders and quantities"

Selecting this option will ensure that the "FULLFILLABLE QTY" column is displayed in both the Product summary list and the Order details list.

Invoices

For invoice templates, it's unfortunately not possible to display only fulfillable qty as we cannot recalculate prices. Shopify is the one that does all of the calculations of amounts in the document. So, we have no way of splitting up price amounts (subtotal, taxes, shipping etc) into separate documents, as we don't have all of the information to make the same calculations.

However, you can set the app to cross out the unfulfilled products. To get this set, you just need to

  1. Login to OrderlyPrint (Shopify admin -> Apps)

  2. Go to the Settings -> Document design page

  3. Go into the "Options and formats" section of the editor

  4. Under the "PRODUCT AND ORDER DETAILS" section, enable the checkmark for "Highlight unfulfilled products"
