17TRACK: Track package button

Instructions for integrating the 17TRACK (17track.net) app for the Track Package buttons in shipping emails

The popular Shopify app 17TRACK provides a branded package tracking service for customers of your store. This article explains how to use and setup 17Track with OrderlyEmails.

Setup is done by changing the "Tracking button" section in the Shipping emails, to automatically link to either your branded 17Track tracking page, or the generic 17Track service.

Step 1

In the editor, select the Shipping confirmation email from the email chooser.

Step 2

Click on the "Tracking button" section in the list of sections.

Step 3

Change the "Links to" setting to "17track.net (custom tracking page)", or "17track.net (generic tracking page)" depending on which service you are using with the app.

Which link should I choose?

Custom tracking page: Use this setting if you have setup the 17track app to include a custom tracking page on your own domain. The link will then use your store domain and link to your custom tracking page.

Generic tracking page: Use this setting if you have not setup a custom tracking page on your own website. The link will then use the default www.17track.net domain and generic tracking page.

The app will then automatically include the correct code in your emails, so that they link to the relevant tracking page for the customer:

Note: This will also update the link used in the Shipping update and Shipping delivery emails automatically.
