Order Printer Pro works with the Shopify POS and Shopify Mobile apps. Once you have installed the app in your store, you will have an option to print your documents using Order Printer Pro in the POS and Mobile apps.

Tips for Shopify POS and Shopify Mobile

1- Make sure you've ticked the checkbox for the 'POS orders' functionality on the Manage templates section on Order Printer Pro, for the template you want to be automatically selected when the app loads:

2- If you're considering to print the documents on the narrow POS receipt paper, or any narrow paper format printed through Thermal Printers or similar, it won't be possible. The issue is that Web browsers place too much margin around the edges of the documents for it to be possible. So, there is not enough room left on the narrow receipt paper for the actual info.

You can, however, use A5 or 4x6inch paper, as explained in this guide.

3- Shopify apps have some restrictions on printing, so if the POS and Shopify Mobile app print out additional pages (or adjust the information); unfortunately, this is beyond our app's control. The issue is related to the iOS system when using Safari; when they generate printed pages, they add different margins or additional pages, which results in printing issues. You can try to tweak the margin/scale settings in your mobile device print settings until you see that only the needed pages will be printed out.

Note: On iOS, you get different printer settings depending on the printer you have connected, so some printers allow changing those settings, and some don't, sadly.

4- If the Shopify apps cannot find the printer, you might need to double-check your printing settings. The printers need to be set up on the device (mobile, iPads) used, and they are responsible for recognizing the printer device. Therefore, there's not much we can do from our app for the printer to be identified. The following Shopify article might help explain how to correctly set up common printers: Connect Printers.
