Providing customers with PDF documents automatically will not only reduce the amount of customer requests you receive, but also help to cut down on paper usage.

One-time setup

Note: You should first create the template you would like to provide customers.

The documents created with the automated PDF link won't be stored or saved anywhere; the app will temporarily generate the document with the template configured at the moment the link is clicked.

1- Login to Order Printer Pro (Shopify admin > Apps)

2- Go to Automated PDFs in the left navigation menu

3- Select the template you would like to provide to customers automatically, then click the Setup PDF link button.

4- The PDF link settings page will appear; fill out each of the fields.

Note: It's important to select the correct email or page in the Where do you want to add this PDF link? field, as this changes the instructions you see in the next steps.

5- Once you have filled out the fields, click the Next step button

6- You will now be provided with step-by-step instructions on how to add the needed pdf download link code to the select email or webpage.

Note: If your store is multi-language and you want it to be added to the email based on the customer's language, make sure to configure a multi-language template and set up the automated PDF on all language versions of your email.

⚠️Caution: If you use the Translate and Adapt app by Shopify and and want to include the automated PDF on the various language versions of your email, be sure to paste the setup snippet on the HTML instead of the editor. This is important, as pasting it on the editor could cause your email layout to break.

💡Tip

You can repeat the PDF link setup as many times as you like. Each template can have multiple PDF download links, added to different emails and webpages.
